ACP Announces New Board Members
BALTIMORE, MD —The Association of Catholic Publishers’ (ACP) members elected four board members with a wide variety of experience in publishing who have a breadth of professional expertise. “Three of the four new board members have recently moved into higher positions of leadership in their own companies which brings a new level of energy and insight to the board,” noted executive director, Therese Brown.
Members elected Karey Circosta (Ave Maria Press), Deanna Keefe (Liturgy Training Publications), and Wade Wisler (Oregon Catholic Press) and re-elected Donna Crilly (Paulist Press) to three-year terms beginning in March 2019.
Karey Circosta is the Vice President and Director of Sales & Marketing at Ave Maria Press. Circosta has over two decades of sales and marketing leadership experience. She has been with AVE since 2003 when she started as the Institutional Marketing Coordinator. She was first responsible for curriculum and parish marketing and later added trade marketing to her responsibilities. Prior to AVE Circosta worked in newspaper publishing. She is the Vice President and acting secretary of the Ave Maria Press board of directors.
Donna Crilly is a graduate of Douglass College (Rutgers University) and Weston Jesuit School of Theology (now Boston College School of Theology and Ministry). She has been active in Catholic book publishing since the 1980s and has worked at St. Bede’s Publications, Paulist Press, Pearson Education, and Liturgy Training Publications, gaining experience in many facets of the industry from production to marketing, but primarily in editorial. Currently, she is managing editor at Paulist Press and is interested in marshalling new technologies to capture and organize data as well as to manage and deploy content in multiple formats. She has been a member of the ACP Board of Directors and its secretary since 2016.
Deanna M. Keefe is the Director of Liturgy Training Publications. Deanna has nearly 25 years of Catholic publishing experience in marketing, media production, and editorial direction. She started at LTP in 2006 in marketing before being promoted several times to positions of increasing responsibility across different departments. Before joining LTP, Deanna managed the Newman Bookstore in Washington, D.C. and worked at the Paulist Press Book Center in Costa Mesa, Calif.
Wade Wisler has been Publisher of Oregon Catholic Press (OCP) since April 2017. He started with the company in 2000, working for seven years in Marketing before becoming Manager of Worship Publications, overseeing the publication of OCP’s missals, hymnals, and quarterly liturgy preparation magazines (Editorial). After eight years in that role, he served as Director of Music Development and Outreach before becoming Publisher. Wisler graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in English Language and Literature (1989).
The ACP provides opportunities for members to further the interests of the Catholic publishing industry, promote Catholic publishing and reading, and engage those they interact with including retailers, pastoral leaders, individual customers, and staff.
