BALTIMORE, MD - For the first time, the Association of Catholic Publishers (ACP) awarded the winners of the Excellence in Publishing Awards at a live program, wholly focused on published Catholic content, at the Sheen Center in New York City on Monday, June 26, 2018.
Emcee Mike Leach, publisher emeritus at Orbis Books, served as host for the evening while Kerry Weber, managing editor at America, shared her perspective on publishing in a digitally distracted age.
First, second, and third place honors were awarded to publishers and authors of the best Catholic content in 10 categories-Biography, Children’s Books, General Interest, Inspirational, Prayer and Spirituality, Resources for Liturgy, Resources for Ministry, Scripture, Spanish, and Theology.
